Oakhill Residential Rental Building

This new 130,000 square foot L-shaped residential building offers 159 rental homes in seven- and ten-storey wings over two levels of underground parking. 151 apartments range in size from one- to two-bedroom plus den, while the limited collection of 8 townhouses offers two- to four-bedroom layouts. 

Approximately 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space includes a gym & yoga studio, party room, co-working space, outdoor lounge, and barbecue areas. 

A key sustainability feature is the high-performance envelope with electrochromic windows. These Smart windows have multiple levels of tinting that adjust to maximize daylight, improving energy use throughout the building. The detailed wiring involved with installing this technology required careful coordination during wall and bulkhead construction.

Focusing on inclusivity, a percentage of its suites and all of its amenity spaces are barrier-free, with automated door operators and accessible elevators and washrooms.

The project was completed in July 2023.
