DIAMOND ON YONGE RESIDENTIAL HIGH-RISE

This 30-storey, 288,000 square foot landmark condominium has 371 suites and six storeys of underground parking with 386 stalls, which required an exceptionally deep excavation of 23 meters. Top-tier amenities include a 24-hr concierge, library, party rooms, theatre, BBQ area, gym and yoga studio.

The high-performance thermal envelope and high-efficiency mechanical equipment improve the building’s thermal and acoustical performance and reduce reliance on mechanical ventilation systems.  

Our team successfully navigated challenges associated with the site’s small footprint and minimal laydown area by having columns, shear walls, and elevator core prefabricated offsite. Implementing our Safe Neighbours program, we maintained daily communication with the neighbouring properties, which included a daycare center and a community church to minimize disruptions. When installing the envelope, our team managed the coordination of eight complex subcontractor scopes to achieve a fully integrated system.
